Medical Practice Patient Guide produces practice information guides for medical practices throughout Australia.
RACGP Standards for General Practices and accreditation agencies require certain information be included on a medical practice’s practice information sheet and be made readily available to patients. They also recommend that further practice information be made available, either on the practice information sheet or in other ways, such as on posters in the waiting room.
Medical Practice Patient Guide deals with these requirements in a useful yet patient-friendly manner. Practice information is presented as a neat package in the form of a 16-page booklet (A5 size), designed to be taken home by the patient and kept in a handy place for ongoing reference.
The guide is printed using a two-colour process, and is updated annually. Local businesses and health professionals are approached to place an ad in the guide, with space for an editorial further into the guide.
1400 copies are sent to the practice, to be given out free to the patients.
Samples of guides can be posted out to you. Click here to view a sample guide.
AFTER ACCEPTANCE
Once your medical practice selects us to produce your information guides, there are a few simple requirements we ask you to work through:
1. A signed authority from an authorising person (usually practice manager or doctor).
2. A list of local businesses (Allied Health professionals and health-related services) that you would prefer to have as advertisers.
3. The practice’s information that you would like to be placed in your guide.
